Book review: 『あの日の君に恋をした、そして』and『そして、その日まで君を愛する』by Koichi Nitori
These two novels are very easy to read in Japanese and can make for a good first novel at N3 level. One is an entertaining mystery and the other one is a love story based on everyday life scenes.

This is a follow up to the novel 泣くな研修医, and I highly recommend both books. They are engrossing and easy to read.

I read 5 books in May :) including two light novels, medical fiction and crime fiction.

Good mystery, spooky scenes, suspense… this book is a delight for fans of the detective and horror genres.

Book review: 『名もなき毒』 by Miyuki Miyabe
Second book in the Saburo Sugimura series, this novel is quite slow and felt very long. I liked it overall, and I want to continue the series, but it is not my favourite detective novel.

Book review: 『猟奇の果』 by Edogawa Rampo
I did not like this novel as much as the other Akechi stories, but even though I have much to criticise, it was still an enjoyable read.

April wrap up
I finished 4 books in April, and I started the second book of the Saburo Sugimura series.

Book review: 『聖母』 by Rikako Akiyoshi
『聖母』 is my first novel by Rikako Akiyoshi but certainly not my last. I was very impressed by this thriller!

Book review: 『告白』 by Kanae Minato
告白 is Kanae Minato’s most famous work and my favourite so far. This book is fantastic, highly recommended!
